All You Can Eat Breakfast At City Blue Mombasa
I believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You have basically woken up from a 6 hour ‘fast’ and you are about to start another 6 hours of work, errands and hustles before lunch. You really need all the energy you can get. So, when a friend suggested an all you can eat breakfast plan at 1,000 bob, I was sold. Sausages, eggs, bacon, cereals and fresh bread?
With the Mombasa heat as your hangover twangas you a good one…What’s not to love?
Situated in Mombasa next to the famous Nyali bridge sits a new establishment in the Kenyan hotel industry. City Blue Creekside hotel.
What I really love about this place is the view from the dining area. Large sitting space with huge windows overlooking the Indian Ocean with the early morning breeze and endless fresh juice.
What’s not to love? Their breakfast selection has 4 main stations. The cereals station that I particularly love because of the fruit Muesli. The Salads and fruits station that had fresh fruit (Mostly whats in season), the fresh bread and pastry station with fresh toasted bread but what I really loved was their hot kitchen station. With a selection of items that includes nduma, baked beans, sautee potatoes, sausages and bacon, this was by far my most favorite.
Yes yes. Breakfast is good. A full breakfast is even better. But what does it cost really? That’s the best part yet. For just ksh. 1000 (Usd 10) per person, you can have this all you can eat breakfast that runs from 6Am (I think. Waking up early was not on my to do list) to 10Am.
Now I must warn you, if you are planning on having this, be there early. The options are immense. You will need 15 minute breaks in between stations. But not to worry, the charging points in the dining area and Wi-Fi made the experience quite pleasant. Read your mail, carry a book, sip on some water, listen to some music on your headphones, look all important and busy while you slowly sip the fresh juice as the hangover and the Mombasa heat pound on you a gudu one as you hide your bloodshot eyes behind those sunglasses and enjoy the ocean breeze.
If you are in Mombasa for the weekend or a holiday, this is a place that I would highly recommend for breakfast. Try out their fresh juices, you will love them!!
